Mom, a Real World Superhero

Mom, a Real World Superhero

Mom serves as the backbone of the home. She is the CEO, chef, chauffeur, social coordinator, cheerleader, counselor, nursemaid, house cleaner, and well, let’s face it, she’s a real world superhero.

As both a daughter and a mom, I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for a mom’s tireless, 24-7 job. Growing up, my mom stayed at home with me and my brother and looking back, I marvel at how she kept it all together. Cooking three meals a day, doing laundry, cleaning, managing play dates, driving carpool, running errands, helping with homework and nursing us when we were sick. I remember her often saying ‘there’s just not enough time in the day’…and how right she was! And, she always put all of us before herself, rarely taking time off just for her.

Whether your Mom works outside the home or not, she is the person who always holds everything together and keeps everyone on track. She fills the pantry with groceries, washes dishes, keeps lunch bags packed and even makes time for school PTA meetings, teacher conferences, ball games and after school pickups.

With Mother’s Day this Sunday, it’s time to start thinking of that perfect gift to show mom just how much you appreciate her for who she is and all she does. Yes, flowers are nice and smell great, but why not honor mom and give her the precious gift of time this year with a home cleaning.

It’s a no-brainer that mom would much rather spend some time relaxing and making new memories with the family, or finding some time for herself than scrubbing the floors. So, if you see your mom spending much of her week or weekend vacuuming, mopping, and dusting, then perhaps a Maid Right cleaning service will give her that much needed break (and a big smile).

After all, we love our moms, and it only seems fitting to celebrate them in a way that pays tribute to all they’ve done for us.
