There is no better time than moving time to do the deep-declutter and total clean that you’ve been dreaming about for years. #5: Make the smell be a reminder of home
This is an age-old realtor trick: before showing your home, sprinkle cinnamon on a baking sheet and pop it in the oven. The delicious smell of baking will spread through the home and make it feel cozier in an instant. Smell is the strongest memory so associating your home with a pleasant smell will also make a big impression on potential buyers.
#6: Rent furniture
And, if you’ve already moved all your things and you’re trying to sell your old house, opt to rent furniture. It is much harder for buyers to imagine an empty house as their own – renting a dining room table, some couches and even beds can pay off big time. Don’t forget the linens to make everything feel comfortable and welcoming!
